Patients who are on regular treatment may request a repeat prescription by clicking on the Repeat Prescriptions blue box on the left hand side of this page or by telephoning 01764 655510, calling at the Medical Centre and completing a request form, or by letter enclosing a stamped addressed envelope for reply. Two months' supply is the usual amount prescribed and the doctor will wish to see you periodically to monitor your treatment. Patients should expect to see the doctor personally at least once every six months. If you are unable to collect your prescription your chemist may be prepared to deliver it to you.
We require 48 hours' notice for repeat prescriptions which will then normally be ready for collection after 2.00pm. Requests placed on Fridays may not be ready until Tuesday afternoon. There is no facility for repeat prescriptions to be ordered, processed or collected on Saturdays or Public Holidays so please ensure you order them in plenty of time to save upset and disappointment all round.
Please allow 48 hours for processing by the practice, if you choose a chemist to collect the prescription from the surgery and dispense it, it may take longer than the 48 hours.
Please note that prescriptions can only be collected by someone over the age of 16.
Our computer system will not allow prescription staff to generate early requests for medication. If you have run out of medication before it is due to be renewed, or if you are going on holiday and need your supply early, then please telephone the receptionist who will advise you as necessary.
