Travel Vaccinations

We are pleased to offer our registered patients a travel health service.

Our nurse uses up-to-date information to advise you on your health needs related to destinations around the world. They can administer most vaccinations and provide prescriptions for treatments where needed.

Booking your Appointment with the Nurse

  • Travel Risk Assessment
If you're planning a trip abroad please complete our online Travel Assessment form on this page with details of your proposed journey. Alternatively if you prefer, you can download our travel form here, which can be printed off and returned to us. (Kindly note that this service is for registered patients only)
  • What Happens Next?
On completion of your form our Practice Nurse will assess the area you are visiting. If you or your family require vaccinations, she will contact you by telephone before your arranged appointment (see below) advising what you need and what is available via NHS. She will arrange a prescription for any vaccine required and you must bring this along to the appointment you have arranged with her.
  • Travel Appointment
If the nurse has informed you that you require an appointment please book this with reception.
  • Allow Plenty of Time
Patients are advised to allow plenty of time for vaccinations (at least two or three months) especially if traveling to an out-of-the-way place where they'll be living or working among local people. Some courses of vaccine such as rabies or Hepatitis B need to be given over several weeks.
  • Provide as Much Information as Possible
This will help our nurse decide how best to meet your needs. As a minimum we require travel dates, all destinations and as much of your previous vaccination history as possible.
